Answers

1. Can I download music and audio books?
Yes, you can download protected or non-protected Music and Audio Books to your SOLO WIRELESS Digital MP3 Player.

2. What is Copy Protected Material?
The term Copy Protected and/ or Digital Right Management (DRM) is often defined as the use of technological tools in order to restrict the use and/or access to a work. Copy Protected material and DRM material usually require a payment to the creator of the material.  Sources such as Music Clubs and/ or Audio Book Distributors require payment for the downloading of this material, a percentage in turn, is paid to the creator for use of the product.

When you purchase a music CD from the store, you pay for the right to use this material.  This payment now makes the material on the CD unprotected and can be downloaded as many times you wish.  All MP3 Players on the market (no matter the price) will allow you to download unprotected material.  Only MP3 Players with special hardware installed will allow you to download both unprotected and protected files.  Even if you pay a service fee and download Protected/ DRM materials to your computer, without the required hardware present in your MP3 Player, the Player will not be compatible, and will be unable to download this Protected or DRM material.

The good news, the SOLO WIRELESS Digital MP3 Player is compatible with downloading all Protected and DMR material.

3. Do I need to install anything on my computer?
The SOLO WIRELESS Digital MP3 Player will be fully recognizable by your computer so no additional software is needed.  Depending on the different sources you use to download Audio Books or Music, that particular download source may require you to download their download program.  In most cases, this additional download is included in their service.
